♥ Health Beauty Series ♥ Coming Soon!

So I have decided that I am going to do a series of posts about the products and routines I use in order to keep my skin, hair, and body healthy. I was going to do it all in one giant post but then I realized that there was no way I would be able to sit down and write it all at once...there is too much!

So this is just a heads up that some information is coming your way. Here is an overview of what I will be talking about:

1. Skin care (for dry skin, acne prone)
2. Hair care (avoiding split ends, keeping all types of hair moisturized, what to look for and what to avoid in your products)
3. Fitness (what I do to cover all of my fitness bases, my biggest pet peeves of fitness - specifically for ladies)
4. Supplementation (for skin, body, hair, etc - my routine and philosophy on the body and what it needs)

If I think of anything else I'll be sure to add it, but for now it will be a 4 part series! I don't know if I will be starting it this summer or when I get back in the fall, we will have to see how much time I have for myself!

Either way, STAY TUNED!
Love you all and thanks as always for reading this blog ♥

Pale Skin?

Lately I have been thinking more about my skin colour and I have (almost) come to the conclusion that I am just going to accept my pale skin. I know that it shouldn't be such a big deal BUT...I like looking tan.

Here are my pro's and con's:

PROS:
  1. Won't have to spend the money on expensive quality self tanners.
  2. Also won't have to waste the time with putting self tanners on..
  3. I won't feel self-conscious about my colour being splotchy and fading strangely because I hate that.
  4. It's my natural skin!
  5. Overall less time, less work, less product
  6. It would make me wear sunscreen all the time.
CONS:
  1. I like being tan. It looks glowy and healthy to me.
  2. I can get blindingly white.
  3. I would feel self-concious about my super pale skin in the summer months (not so much winter and fall)
  4. A lot of my makeup and whatnot is geared towards tanned skin (I would have to learn how to make my makeup look good on my pale skin..)
  5. Redness and blotchiness in my skin would show up more.
So, as you guys can see I have a few reasons for both but I just don't have the means to continue to buy self tanners. Now, saying that, I don't think I will stop completely. Obviously this summer I will continue with tanners because that is my only option and come fall/winter I will no longer use them. I'll have to decide whether I am going to use them again in the summer.

Anywho, I have made a collage of all my pale-skinned inspirations to show myself that I can be just as beautiful as they are:

Sorry! + Home Decorating Inspo! ♥☼

Hey guys, I am sorry that I have been away for so long! But I have been living in Alberta as a working student/horse trainer (you can see whats up at my other blog: HERE), but I have just been so extremely busy and I haven't had any time to update or anything! BUT, I am excited to say that my Mom is currently getting the dimensions for my new apartment room so that I can start planning for it and as you guys know, I LOVE DECORATING! I thought because you guys have been so patient with me that I would share some of my inspiration for said room, so here it is:

I love this girls style. It is an inspiration to me because of how crazy, and boho it is and yet it still seems to flow nicely together. I am too preoccupied with being matchy-matchy and this house inspires me to kind of let that go!

I also love StileBabe's room because of the cute colours and the shabby-chic decor:

So next I just have some pictures of some inspiration from my Pinterest, which is mostly for DIY and decor:

 1. I love the idea of a wooden headboard..and it would be easy! It's just 2x4 planks, stained and drilled into the wall!
2. I LOVED the idea of using drawers as shelving, not to mention how you can paste a cute picture on the bottom like that! I don't know exactly what I would put in the shelves but I'm thinking just old trinkets like a piggy bank or a mason jar flower.
3. Like seen in StilaBabe09's video, I love the twine and clothes pin picture hanging and its so cheap and easy to do! I will probably add a few faux flowers along the mix as well to give it even more of a shabby chic feel.
4. And lastly the desk/dresser colourblocking. I like the idea of this and I think it would look cute if I did it to my dresser.

 1. Top photo I just loved the colour of the dresser and how they decorated it. Maybe that + the colour blocking?
2. A DIY tutorial on how to reupholster a desk chair! This I need to do because my chair is just black leather...not my style.
3. Lastly is a tutorial on how to mod podge those ugly plastic containers with scrap paper or fabric. I think I am going to spray paint the sides of mine and just decorate the front.

1. I love the idea of using an old liquor bottle as a candle or storage!
2. Using an old crate and restaining it to hold blankets and throw pillows would be SUPER USEFUL because there is no where to put them other than the floor!
3. Painting a globe to say a word is a cute and very-me idea.
4. Lastly using cheap cups and plates you  can make a cake stand! I will probably be putting mine on my vanity to hold perfumes!

So those are my decor ideas. They are fairly inexpensive and kind of boho/shabby chic which I love. I can't wait to get started!

Also: I just found multiple websites that allow you to create floorplans! No more doing it by hand! Check these out:
